I'm a hobby photographer who used to swear by my good old Pentax SLR until lighter and smaller digital cameras came along.

I love travelling (usually camping) and take pics on holiday, but recently have become obsessed with patchwork and quilting, so also take photos of all the quilts I like at shows, as well as work of my own (both finished and 'in progress')

I was born in Gateshead, but left when I went to train as a teacher in Southampton. I taught in Portsmouth, Germany, Shetland, Newcastle, Southampton, Saudi Arabia, Isle of Wight and finally Frimley in Surrey. Now I'm retired I can indulge all my hobbies.
