Whether it's TV, radio, print or online - I'm passionate about the media and helping people use it to get themselves and business noticed for the right reason.

I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BA Journalism in 1999 and began a career as a radio and television presenter working with Real Radio, Radio Clyde, STV and BBC Radio Scotland.

My wife and I started a family earlier this year so I decided to give up the 3am alarm calls that were part and parcel of my job presenting 'Morning Briefing' on BBC Radio Scotland and formed my own communications consultancy - Colin Kelly Media. Working for myself was an ambition I'd had since I was 12 years old.

We deliver: public relations support, media skills training, social media training, press release writing and distribution and corporate video production.

My YouTube channel is regularly updated with my latest work and free advice and tips to help get your business noticed and give better radio and television interviews.

I work closely with digital marketing agency NSDesign and deliver social media training in partnership with them.

Outside work, my 9 month old son ensures I continue to frequently wake up at 3am and I enjoy taking him swimming, going for walks and when I get the chance, reading the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child.
