Living in the gorgeous area of Black Mountain in western North Carolina provides me with plenty of inspiration for photography. I also have a serious case of wanderlust so many of my photographs are from other parts of the US and other countries. I shoot with an Olympus Evolt E-300. I'm just an amateur photographer, but being able to make pretty pictures comes in handy with the web design and graphic design I do for work.

I'm no good at portrait photography, but I think it's my favorite genre. I love the way some photographers are able to capture the essence of someone else with their lens. I guess I'd like to be a great portrait photographer when I grow up.
