I live on the NSW central coast and enjoy time spent with my family.

My first camera was a Ricoh E2 half frame in 1979. I enjoyed taking photos then and into my pre-teens. In the mid 80’s I received my first SLR a Ricoh KR10Super with a 30 – 200 zoom f3.8.

Photography became my favourite hobby until I could no longer afford the costs involved with film and processing. Consequently the camera was shelved (except for the odd occation) there was a short time where I used bulk film and processed it in my darkroom but cost also saw that come to an end, until the mid 90’s when I purchased my 2nd SLR a Ricoh KR10M and some macro tubes. but due to the costs again the cameras were shelved.

I purchased a P&S just to keep my interest and to record family events etc. But in March 2010 I had decided to buy my first DSLR a Pentax Kx with 18 – 125, f3.8. The Pentax purchase was a natural progression for me as I not only had some K-mount stuff but also had access to more K-mount equipment.

Costs will always be there but at least I can now continue to shoot and see my work on the screen.

Recently I have updated my gear to include the Sony a7. I now use this as my main camera.
