CAROL OLINE STAVIK
WATERCOLOR AND MIXED MEDIA ARTIST
Carol Oline Stavik was born and raised in Kodiak, Alaska. Later she lived in Soldotna, Seldovia and Anchorage, along with Kent, WA, Long Beach and Fortuna, CA, finally in Riddle, OR, and now in Myrtle Point, OR.
Her hobbies were her children, horses, chickens and photography, and then came ART.
In Alaska she and her husband, Glenn, enjoyed traveling to many different sites, by means of their airplane, to hunt and fish. They were both pilots and had many different experiences, all good, in the air and on the ground.
She was fortunate to take art classes at College of the Redwoods, private tutoring in Fortuna, CA, and Grants Pass, Riddle and Roseburg, OR. She is a member of the Riddle Art Guild, and signature member of Umpqua River Art Gallery. She has had many shows in Myrtle Creek, Canyonville and Roseburg, OR.
Carol is an Alaskan Native and interested in the recording of nature. After retiring from her real estate practice, Harbor Realty, she and her husband, Glenn, lived in Riddle for 11 years.
Now she is at home in Myrtle Point, OR with her dog, Ringo, and cat, Olaf, where she is kept busy painting, gardening, and taking care of her "family."
