I have recently moved from a compact digital to SLR. I have spent many a day, following my husband around, being the one to hold the filter box, swap the lenses and carry the tripod.

For ages I have thought about having a go for myself, however, until now that opportunity hasn't come up.

I now have a Nikon D40 - thought I could start small, but have the opportunity to use Shanes Lenses if needed.

It has been great, we have spent many a day out, me constantly asking questions - what aperture, Iso? whats aperature again, what do I need to focus on? why doesn't my picture look like yours? what am I doing?

So for my (and Shanes sanity) I have drawn myself up a little spreadsheet (I know - far too organised!!) with all the details I needed!!!

Anyhow, I know I am not a Flickr Pro in photographer terms, however, I wanted to be able to experience the best of FLickr so please bare with me
