I'm just a beginner who is really enjoying photography as a new found addiction!! In 2006 I bought my first DSLR, but only used it on vacation and special occasions. I received a Canon G9 for my birthday in 2008. I carry it everywhere I go and try to "see" my world around me. It's a wonderful learning process. I feel like a sponge, turning to the internet, magazines, books, videos and workshops for my crash course in photography. I aspire to improve my craft strictly as a beloved hobby, which has been a welcome retreat from my boring day job as an engineering consultant.
