My hobbies include portraiture and street photography as well as photo-editing. The content on my "Photostream" is my own unless specifically noted as from a guest contributor. For the record, ever since the introduction of Generative Fill into Photoshop (beta 2023), I have been using AI technology extensively, mostly to remove distracting objects from photos that I would not otherwise have the skill to remove without it. Also, virtually all of my photos are "re-touched" to some degree using Photoshop. So, my ambition then is to produce a pleasing photo more so than the truest depiction of what I shot with the camera.

My current gear: Canon’s EOS R5 is my "A" camera. My "B" camera is Sony's A6700. The Sony APS-C cameras are very small but very capable, so I take the Sony with me almost everywhere I go. In years past, I relied mostly on zooms but have recently moved towards primes. For the R5, my go to now is Canon's RF 85mm f2 Macro IS STM. My other lenses for the R5: Canon's RF24-240mm f4-6.3 IS USM, the EF24-70mm f/2.8 L II USM, the EF70-200mm L f/2.8 IS II USM, RF 35mm f1.8 Macro IS STM, & RF 50mm f1.8 STM. On the Sony A6700, Viltrox's 75mm f1.2 has recently become a favorite. Also for the Sony, I use Sony's 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS or Sony's 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS. I especially enjoy using on the Sony, Sigma's famed f/1.4 Contemporary DC DN quartet of prime lenses (16mm, 23mm, 30mm and the incredible 56mm).
