I'm a Consulting Naturalist. I went to Unity College in Maine for three and a half years, but graduated from SUNY Cobleskill with a degree in Wildlife Management. I have worked professionally in both the animal and plant fields, mostly at botanical gardens and environmental consulting firms. My specialties are birds, mammals, lepidopterans, and herps, though I like all animals and plants. I also love travelling and have photographed wildlife and plants all over the world. On some of these journeys over the last 24+ years I've been lucky to have gone with my best friend and wife Nobue, who's originally from Funabashi-shi, Chiba Pref., Japan.

Even though I have published several photos I don't consider myself a professional photographer. My photo equipment includes:

- three Pentax K-5 SLR Digital bodies

- Sigma APO 150-500mm F5-6.3 DG OS Telephoto Lens

- Sunpak Auto DX 8R Ring Flash

- Pentax AF 400 FTZ Flash
