I "favorite" photos that I both (1) love; and (2) hope to be able to do something similar one day. To all who I have "favored" -- thank you both for the beauty and for the inspiration!

I started in October 2005 taking images with the snapshot feature in my camcorder. 3 shutter speeds and typical image under 1Meg after cropping. I learned how to take pictures, and in late November I bought some some better equipment:

· Panasonic Lumix FZ20 (1G High-Speed Memory)

· Olympus TCON-14 1.45x Teleconverter Lens

· Nikon 5T 1.5 dioptre MACRO lens

· Sunpak Auto 383 Super High Power Flash

· Xtend-a-Sight mounted Red dot sight

· LumiQuest Big Bounce (essentially a mounted Flash SoftBox)

· 44 ft. remote shutter cable

· Lens adapter with adjustable hood,

· Light umbrellas, tripods, etc.

I enjoy looking at Dave's photographs both for the beauty of the images and because they are consistently interesting and push into new territory. This is one of the photostreams I browse at in order to learn new approaches and get different perspectives on how to see.
