My photos are copyrighted. Please contact me if you'd like to use them. If you attribute your use of my images correctly with a link to the source of the material, it should be fine.
Problems will only arise if you use my work in a way that suggests you’re trying to pass it off as your own. A lot of hard work and love goes into creating each image and it hurts my livelihood (and offends my sense of decency) when my work is reposted without credit (it's also illegal, btw). Thanks!
Now about me (if you're still interested after reading the legal mumbo jumbo) -
Over the past few years, photography has become my obsession. You'll rarely find me without my camera. Originally I bought my camera to photograph my teenage boys playing ice hockey, but since then I've started taking pictures of practically everything.
At present, my images are mostly of sports, nature, decaying old buildings/barns and cemeteries. I love the images I get from abandoned places and graveyards. They have a innate story that pulls me in.
Candid images of people going about their day, children playing, or families in their natural habitat is the way I prefer to photograph people (which is probably why I get such a thrill from shooting sports). In conventional portrait photography, the camera makes most people stiffen and become self-conscious. Posed portraits lack the spontaneity and humanness that compels the viewer to stop and look. I find the most beautiful images are captured in those quiet moments when our guard is down and we think no one is watching.
While I'm not traditionally trained, I embrace learning through doing. Life is all about finding your passion; do what you love and in the end it will show.
