Conference Basics is a blog about the organization and management of conferences, a sector in which I have been working in since the early 2000’s.

I write about organization basics, tips and how-to’s, do’s and don’ts, anecdotes, observations from events I participate in, interviews to notable organizers and attendees.

The evaluation of the conference experience is made from the point of view of the organizer and the attendant. The latter rules over the former but this is often forgotten by those organizing the event (been there, done that) so my aim is to concentrate in what makes a great conference, dissect the different areas where you can intervene to do so and give some advice based on my experience on how to tackle the main issues you might find while realizing your conference.
