I ran into Concrete Surfer for the first time at a Walmart photo department while shopping for some lenses. When I saw the prints he was picking up I was blown away. As it turned out, I needed a photographer to shoot some professional images for one of my clients. I offered the job to Michael and he then informed me he was a high school student. Again I was blown away, and offered to help him out in any way I could to get his work acknowledged. He had already done a great job of that, and in the end, he actually taught me things a few I had never considered with photography. He is a wonderful personality, crazy at heart and he constantly pesters my 12 year old son who challenges him to countless online war games. I consider Mike a good friend and a wonderful talent. I have worked with some of the best photographers across the US and abroad over 23 years in the advertising business and I know for a fact that Mike is going to be one of those greats in the future. You should consider him for any assignment that needs a keen and creative eye to enhance your work. He has excellent talent for embellished portraits, but he can turn a simple racing tire into a silver cup with a flick of his shutter.
