Back in the 1990s, I was a professional photographer specializing in live rock bands. In reality, I spent time taking photos of all forms of performing musicians — rock, folk, hardcore, metal, punk, jazz, blues, ... due to health issues, I had to slow down, but still occasionally take on concert gigs. Some photos are at: photos.dreams.org/

I published regularly. Some publications included PIT Report, ROCKRGRL, The Boston Phoenix, The Noise, Sin, and Billboard. One of my shots was used as part of a nightlife mural at the top of the Prudential Center in Boston. I worked with a variety of (mostly Boston based) musicians, including Sam Black Church, 6L6, Letters to Cleo, and Tree, among many others. Albums, tour posters, promotional shots.

All my work was with film and still hasn't been scanned in. I don't know when I'll ever make the time for that. It's hard to go through 10,000+ negatives. ;)

Now, I'm focusing on designing new typefaces with my type foundry Slanted Hall. Check out the interactive type specimen for the 1403 Vintage Mono Pro typeface, with 2,300+ glyphs, supporting Latin (including Vietnamese), Cyrillic, Greek, and Hebrew, inspired by the IBM 1403 mainframe line printer.

I manage to make some time for sewing. I also coach/teach socia partner dance and have performed around the world with vintage dance troupes based in California and Colorado.
