Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is the primary blood supplier to more than 170 hospitals in the 25-county Texas Gulf Coast, East Texas and Brazos Valley regions.

Patients in our region need more than 1,000 blood donations every day. And since it takes about 24 hours to process every donation, an adequate supply must be available at all times - you cannot wait until someone you know needs blood to donate. It's the blood already on the shelf that saves lives. That is why we encourage blood donors to Commit for Life!

Commit for Life means following three easy steps:

1) Donate once per quarter;

2) Allow The Blood Center to contact you; and

3) Spread the word!
