The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) has been a national voice for two-year associate degree granting institutions since its inception in 1920.

Located in Washington, D.C., AACC works with other higher education associations, the federal government, Congress, and other national associations that represent the public and private sectors to promote the goals of community colleges and higher education.

AACC publishes a biweekly newspaper (print and online), bimonthly magazine, and books and monographs devoted exclusively to community college trends and issues. AACC also offers leadership development, an executive search service, and an extensive Web site (www.aacc.nche.edu).
