Eighteen months into this photography lark, I'm still here. Ups and downs, highs and lows and disappointments. In the last five months I've put away my little Panasonic camera in favour of my wife's old Nikon D80.

The frustrations of not being able to get the camera to do what I want, are now replaced by the old camera being badly in need of a refurb. The sensor has a bunch of spots that appear on all the pictures and need removal by careful editing. The vibration reduction on the lens I'm using is Kaput and the auto focus does not work very well on the longer zooms. (18-270). BUT, I'm enjoying the control and getting to grips with what I'm trying and learning all the time.

I'm still colour blind and I'm sure that some of the editing looks strange to other people but this is what I see.
