I really love the bright ebullient tones of her photography. The visible incandescence of happiness that overflows her palette of photography and colors the most humble food, chai or a book to a sheen of professional goodness. A veritable master of presentation with the deftest color and pattern sense that oh so amusingly is plagiarized every day by wannabe babes that throng the Flickr domain. Her great 'presentation" style holds her work together in a unique genre that is a sheer visual delight. On any given Flickr day it may be Fashion or Food or Chai or Book Porn that moves the eye and the soul. Sheer Manna ! We understand this photographer is fond of Shakespeare. But she could have as well been a Jane Austen. Her pictures are gateway to a disappeared world – beautiful, serene, tender, elegant and so delicate it could break into thousand pieces under a slight ripple of wind. Further, while her art transcends the cultural barriers, she retains a certain Pakistani uniqueness in her portrayals. May be she is like Vikram Seth’s A Suitable Boy – Jane Austenish all right, but with that peculiar South Asian fragrance. Again, we know her shots of “carelessly” laid out books and necklaces are not really carelessly placed, yet they appear natural. As if somebody was reading The Kite Runner or wearing that Red Coral necklace only a moment ago. Let's face it - Flickr is teeming with hundreds of exceptionally fine photographers. But it is difficult to ignore her. Difficult to ignore even the pattern of tablecloths that makes up many of her picture backdrops.

Colors my lost twin (well not really lost anymore since we found each other here on flickr :P) I can still remember the very first moment I "met" her, our relationship grew through the many common interests and tastes we shared in jewellery, handcrafted textiles, handbags, clothes, antique pieces, recipes and several unique, colourful and beautiful exotic cultures. Her photo stream has a real sense of "magic" to it, you feel so close to what she captures in her images that you can almost touch/feel/taste it, I would say she truly captures the senses in her elegant shots.
