I love photography even if I'm not a good photographer myself. Still, I enjoy taking photos and sharing them (and some of those taken by my wife who is OK with it). Even more so, I enjoy admiring other people's photos, and there is so much art to love here on flickr!

I view my photostream as an account of places I've been and my albums as photoreports on various topics (places, seasons, weather, events, animals, plants, etc.) rather than art. I'm not an artist, I'm an accountant of images and of memories preserved in these images. I try to make them good images, but please forgive me if I fail.

Most of my photos show landscapes, architecture, flowers - not humans. Not by choice - I simply lack willing models. Maybe that's the reason why I appreciate so much photos of people, published by others.

I show my appreciation for photos mostly by adding them to my favorites, I don't comment much because I'm not a very talkative guy, particularly in foreign languages. Also, I'm not a skilled art critic in any language. So I try to comment but please, don't be offended if I'm not doing it very much. I would rather add your photos to my favorites than comment on them. That's my way of telling you "I love your photo" which is pretty much all the art critic I know.

The fact that I add a photo to my favorites does not mean I approve of whatever it shows, the "like" is usually given for aesthetic not moral merit or because I find something interesting in the photo.

For instance, I'm not a dog person and in real life I'm rather afraid of dogs, but I added a lot of dog photos to my favorites because they were wonderful.
