I hopped onboard a cob building workshop in California September 2006 after religiosly researching the subject for two years (I'm still studying too). Now I am building my own cob building. The only difference is I'm doing it all by my lonesome. It will be a 19 foot circular storage building with a loft (for extra storage). I'm working on the foundation/stemwall now. I would greatly appreciate help on this as some of the pieces are heavier than me. Anyone who is interested in camping out on a Friday and Saturday to lend a hand on this project is welcome to contact me. I will provide food and campgrounds for anyone willing to learn about building with dirt. It's cheap, environmentally sound, energy costs are low because of the properties of earth, and you can build any shape you want (no straight walls, if you don't like them).
