As an amateur photographer, I love going places and seeing new things and, of course, capturing them with my camera. My interests range from whole vistas to the textures of the rocks the hills are made of - a hazard of a background in geology!

In addition, a recent project at work made me take a new look at flowers, adding them to my repertoire. So now I've added a macro lens to my kit and enjoy taking close-up photos of flowers.

Currently, I am using two Olympus cameras - the OM-D E-M5 Mark III and OM-D E-M10 Mark IV. For DSLRs they are both relatively lightweight, weather-proofed and produce great results. After an accident with the original kit lens I switched to a pro zoom lens (M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12–40mm 1:2.8 PRO) which lives on the E-M5. Since I started to photograph flowers, I usually have a 20mm F2.8 macro lens on the E-M5, although I do sometimes switch it out for the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40–150mm 1:4.0–5.6 R.
