I was born in Fall of 1952 and am grateful to have loved sewing since pre-teen. I enjoy making many items with fabric ... from hiking clothes to shade tarps, dresses & skirts to tote bags, PJs to kayak hatch covers to pillowcases, table mats and more. I sew for gifts, charity, occasional vending and for myself. I also love encouraging others who sew (or who are thinking about it :-), and seeing what they make.

These photos represent just a small bit of what I make with fabric. I also love using old sewing machines ... not only are they gorgeous, but they'll be stitching long after my computerized machines (for which I'm also grateful ;-) and I are gone!

I call myself a "sewist" because I am ... one who sews.
