A complete amateur; here to learn how to do it right from some of the best. So far I have learned that it is people I most like to photograph, especially the joy of childhood.
The people of the world have so much more in common with eachother than different, yet as adults we let the differences rule (children do not do this, they love people for who they are. That's why I enjoy childhood photos so much). I love pictures that show our similarities and hope a site like Flickr can bring us together to focus on the many ways we are alike and enjoy the few ways we are different.
In the past few years I've been able to travel internationally for the first time and love it. Unfortunately at this point work, family, finances keep me at home most of the time. Would like nothing more than to make a living in travel photography, but for now must learn to recognize all the fantastic photo opportunities I see in other countries here in my own neighborhood.
That's my challenge: to see my own locale through new eyes, as someone from another country would see it. In the meantime, I'll continue to learn and enjoy taking pictures, hopefully some people here will enjoy.
