I am the mother of 3, grandmother of one and think my husband is the best thing to come along since the invention of pancakes.(he rubs my feet every morning to wake me up, wouldn't you consider him godlike?)

I live in farm country in the midwest. You'll notice some of my photos are on this topic. My true love lies above in the sky/clouds. I am fortunate to live in area of the country where many different weather fronts effect us on a constant basis allowing some beautiful skyscapes.

I am a closet science geek, love anything to do with the sciences, especially earth and sky sciences. Fascinating stuff! I consider Einstein one of my icons, he and Henry David Thoreau run neck and neck at any given time. :)

I am an accidental photographer, I got into it several years ago via my blogging. After sorting thru what I call my life of days gone by, I got tired of hearing myself talk so started incorporating pictures here and there. I received enough comments on my shots it kind of took on a life of it's own. Now my journaling has slowed way down and the photography has taken over that space in my life. It's kind of a better reflection of me as I am a highly visual being and I like looking at nature's beauty with or without the lens.

I just received my first digital SLR for Christmas, a Canon Rebel XT. I hope over time I get the hang of all the stuff that goes with SLR camera's, I'm really green about the mechanics of the camera. Practice makes perfect right?

My favorite quote is not actually a quote but lyrics to a song by Hoobastank. "I'm not the next of them, I am the first of me."

Really I couldn't of said it better myself. Took me a while to get there but I think I have arrived.
