These instruments (test sequence and SQL based reporting for test data analysis) are hosted on the cloud and updated based on the customer's order. For example, the customer might add another test criteria or physical instrument to the computer based test assembly. Or the customer's report format might change for audit or analysis.

The cloud based virtual instrument is connected to the PC based test assembly to the distant test lab or factory. All communication is encrypted and protected. It runs the test based on customer selection through a secure internet connection to his office.

The advantage is less travel, re-use of test tools on cloud and remote monitoring.
