Love being outside in all weathers. Am inspired by natural and built landscape and especially love the mountain scenery in the Lakes and Wales.

First started taking pictures with my Dad's Kodak Instamatic more years ago than I care to remember. It had two settings; sunny and cloudy but the slides I took were well exposed more often than not. Then graduated to a Cosmic 35, a Russian 35mm film camera which cost me less than a fiver brand new. After that, the dizzy heights of a Praktica L and then LTL (Wow! a camera with a built in exposure meter). A series of Nikons and Canons followed and then I forsook lovely grainy film for noisy pixels.

After years of photographing little other than racing cars, I now spend a lot of time photographing landscapes, wildlife and cultivated plants. The subject matter pleases me but the finished result is usually something short of expectation.

Trouble with photography is that it's so frustrating. That shot would have been much better if....................
