I worked in London advertising agencies as an art director and a creative director for many years.

Some years ago my wife and I realised we both had enough of the rat-race and so decided to go long-term cruising on our yacht, selling paintings as we went. Although it was a different set of responsibilities it was a real joy and change from the commercial world!

Now we are based in the North of England, close to the Lake District where I hold watercolour tuition classes each week throughout the autumn and winter.

In spring and summer I teach two, three or four day short art courses where we paint plein-air or indoors, depending on weather conditions.
