A Montreal expat now living in Ottawa after raving about Montreal's superiority (music, food, vintage clad hipsters with loose morals and ethics, drunken rambunctiousness, "laissez aller" attitude, vintage shops, hipster dives, never ending festivals, bike shops, bars w/ "suggested" closing times, loft after parties, galleries, 4:00AM bagel runs, ironic t-shirts w/ wolf or beaver screen prints, accessible beer - I could go one but I digress) for most of his adult life.

I will do everything in my limited powers to disprove the awful rep this city has been tagged with. Kinda like Kevin Bacon in Footloose - minus the regrettable soundtrack.

Since I'm new to Ottawa, I have no clue where to hang out (where people don't wear Crocs that is). If you share my hatred for fluorescent incongruent footwear and know about a decent non frat-boy place to hang at, drop me a line.
