About me:

I live in the Netherlands and am 30 years old. I like languages and other cultures, travelling, photography, editing images with Photomatix and Photoshop and gaming.

About my work:

Most of the work that I have posted here is HDR, and I am constantly trying to find a balance between realistic and art in HDR and postprocessing.

I am currently studying photography at AKI Artez in the Netherlands, in my 3rd year. I'm experimenting to see how far I can go in editing, so my style has become somewhat less realistic, but I try to always keep a basis of reality present so the subject is still recognizeable. I mainly photograph landscapes, usually without people or influences of people.

I am inspired by other photographers a lot, but also by romantic landscape painters, and computer games. I also love bright colours as you may have noticed. Lately I'm thinking about themes such as escapism, longing, immersion and emotion, dreams, other worlds, out of time/place. I want to let people who view my photos dream away and forget about everything around them for a while. So, I hope you enjoy my photos! :)
