I began creating Pottery in 2000 after watching a “potter at her wheel”. I was drawn in as I observed this process of creating something so uniquely beautiful from such a simple element as clay. I immediately reflected on the similarity of how each person’s life is molded and created. I believe that the desire to create is a transcendent human trait, a direct reflection of the Creator. There is an innate joy that comes from standing back from something you have made. My pots are an extension of who I am; my experiences, my personality and my faith. It is ever growing, ever stretching and ever changing.

My byline; "Pots with a Purpose"; is more than a catchy slogan, It describes who I am and what I do. I want my pots to bring enjoyment to daily tasks, whether holding java in a ritualistic wake up routine, showing off a lovely spring bouquet, or illuminating a room. I hope my pots bring you as much joy when you use them as they bring me when I create them.
