I thought I'd add some random information:
I am a Mum to a wonderful wild creative child. Being a Mum is the greatest gift, and my biggest passion.
I have a cooperate job, but does not feel this defines who I am.
We live by the sea. Incorporating walks and swims as much as possible into everyday living. Nothing calmes me as much as the sound of the waves, feel of the sand between my toes and holding my pre-teens (still fairly little) hand.
I often daydream about building a wooden house in the middle of a forest. I love walking in the woods, hearing branches crackling under your feet, listening to the trees gentle rustling in the wind and the birds singing. And if you are lucky seeing wildlife running past. I especially love rabbits. They make me smile. Nature is my sanctuary, it makes me feel alive and at peace at the same time.
I appreciate the little things in life. Like the sound of the rain, and the changing of the seasons. And love bringing nature into our home. Everything from sea glass and wild flowers to little acorns live in our living room next to retro finds, art, newer Danish design furniture and old family treasures.
I bake, and adore the scent of newly baked cakes or bread filling up the house. If I could store it in a bottle, I would properly wear it as a perfume. To me that is a smell I associate with the definition of home.
I love reading. Not just reading a nice book, but reading books that makes you lose yourself, evolve, question, discover, understand other cultures, moves you and expand your mind. Some of my favourite authors are: Murakami, Natsume Soseki, Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Henry David Thoreau, Ben Okri, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Neil Ansell.
Nice to “meet” you!
