I am but a simple country boy, raised in the South with true Southern values of integrity, upstanding moral achievement and general gentlemanliness. Or at least that's what my resume says. I'm also a graphic designer and freelance photographer with a degree in Journalism and Visual Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I've worked for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, The Washington Post and The Boston Globe, and have won numerous awards and accolades from the Society of News Design and independent photo contests. I've finally returned from my 10-year working tour of the East Coast and settled back in Chapel HIll once again.

My main piece of equipment is a Nikon D70 with 28-70mm zoom lens, and a trusty Nikkor 50mm f1.8 for low-level situations and various portraiture.

I have experience in photojournalism, portraiture and wedding photography. Before journalism, I worked for six and a half years as a wedding videographer/photographer's assistant.

I am proficient in both Macintosh and Microsoft-based PC platforms. I'm also an expert-level Photoshop technician and pre-press specialist.
