I am an amateur photographer, interested in capturing what we don't usually see ... action stopping birds in flight and macro photography.

I bought my 1st decent lens (Canon 70-200 f4) for an early Christmas present in 2009, then the 300mm f4 IS for a Birthday present in 2010 and have been hooked on bird shots ever since.

Currently using a 7D with an old 500mm, that I picked up 3rd hand and the Canon 100mm f2.8 for any macro, also the converters, extension tubes and the other odds and ends that go with them.

I learn from tips and tricks I pickup from other photographers so crit and tips are welcome. The outdoors, nature and my dogs will be seen in most of my photos.

USE OF PHOTOS - CREATIVE COMMONS

As of November 2012 I have decided to license my Flickr uploads of Birds under a creative commons license.

This license lets others use your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms. This is to allow sites like carolinabirds.org/ to use my photos in their online bird book, which helps me learn the ID of my bird photos. If you are a non professional with good ID shots, I encourage you to do the same. For more info see creativecommons.org/licenses/

Note because I do not want all my photos to be creative commons I need to select my new bird photos in set 'Birds' every so often and change the rights. If you want to use a photo, under other rights or I need reminding to change the rights drop me a mail.

If you use the photos please attribute to me, Craig Adam and link my photostream. A mail to let me know what you are using the photo for would be interesting and appreciated.
