I am a retired art teacher who takes photos mainly to use in my digital art. I live in the eastern United States, but lived for a while in the northeast of Brazil. I speak/read English and Portuguese. I can read some Spanish and Italian due to their similarities to Portuguese.

Sou uma professora aposentada das belas artes que tira fotos principalmente para usar em minha arte digital. Vivo a leste dos Estados Unidos, mas vivi por um tempo no nordeste do Brasil. Posso falar/ler inglês e português. Posso ler um pouco de espanhol e italiano, porque eles são semelhantes para português.

Thank you to all who have viewed my work and those who have chosen to follow me. With rare exceptions, those I follow have photostreams with at least 500 photos with a variety of different images that are exceptional because of a combination of several of the following: quality, creativity, ingenuity, composition, artistic vision, technique, and/or a unique point of view or sense of humor. I prefer images with titles, descriptions, tags, and/or geotags.

My work is eclectic. I enjoy experimenting with new ideas and techniques to create realistic photos, images that look like art, combining photos to create surrealistic images, or creating abstracts either from my photos or digitally with no photos involved. Recently I've also been playing with video and iPad apps to create art and creating hand-made mixed-media art using any materials I have or find.

Photography and art are my creative outlets in retirement, The past 10 years have been some of the most artistically-productive of my life. Although I sometimes spend tedious hours on a composition, it is more fun than work for me.
