After being hatched the first thing he saw was a hedgehog. The hedgehog led him back to the family's den. They agreed to adopt him until he could fend for himself. While with them he learned how dig dens and find yummy bugs. For the rest of his life he has followed their ways by digging holes and honed his bug catching skills.
