I'm a hiker who happens to also take pictures. I went to school for journalism back in the day so I don't tend to tinker with an image after I've taken it. I like the journalistic realism that is captured. That being said, I'm still learning about the various camera settings available on my point-and-shoot and I'm enjoying the contrasts that are availalble if you just change a couple of things from the auto settings.

Note: If there's a photo tagged "me" there's a very good chance that I didn't take the image, especially if it includes more than my head and shoulders.
