In early August 2012, I decided I wanted to be a better photographer and not just a shutterbug with a point & shoot. I bought my first DSLR, a Nikon D7000 (along with an AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm/f3.5-5.6 GII ED and a Nikkor 50mm/1.4D) and immediately began to build out my kit, lighting equipment, technique, started shooting with models and generally didn't stop learning. In 2015 I moved to a full-frame Nikon D750 and a modest collection of exceptional F-Mount Glass.
10 years later, I currently pilot a Nikon Z6 II, an Olympus E-M5 Mk II and Nikon Z30, and have a considerable, yet still modest collection of amazing lenses. During my journey of photographic discovery, I would say the one thing I am most proud of is my growth as a Portrait artist and derive deep satisfaction from capturing "That Look" whenever possible. Now I turn my lens to Macro and Landscape where I am not as adept and visionary as I would like to be, but will work twice as hard to get there.
Always improving,
