In a former life I was an image analyst for Unilever, taking pictures of shampoo-ed hair and crumpled sheets for a living.

Since finally getting my on DSLR I've been slowly working backwards through the history of photographic technique. If we ever see the sun again I'll pick up with the experiments in cyanotype.

Cannon or Nikon?

Pentax, yes I know there are many who'll have stopped reading now, that's fine. I wanted a camera that would be as happy as me in a leaky tent, or up a wet Welsh hillside. Pentax's weather sealing turned my head. Of course the fact that, thanks to K mounts I could buy a f1.7 prime for less than £50 helped seal the deal. I guess as someone who grew up following Hull City I've no problem backing the underdog.

Film wise I'm currently working with an MX, a handful of box brownies and growing selection of pinholes. I've also dabbled a bit with photograms in my modest home darkroom.
