Alaskan Adventures: These were taken with my beloved Pentax K-5. A few hours before my plane left for Anchorage while packing my backpack my camera feel out and hit the basement cement floor taking a chip out of the body and jamming my favorite 50 mm lens. Due to weight I only had a 75 - 300 mm KAF non-digital lens for the reach and not the best choice for landscapes. My Pentax I abused it not intentionally. It was with me during a sleet driving rain on the deck of the boat tour at 26 kn and high swells never covered always ready for the moment. It was dripping wet with rain, sea mist from the rotors, and deck wash of the boat tour. Then during the dog sled race it received a healthy dose of snow slush from the dogs kick up as we rode around the track. It was tossed around in a single engine bush plane landing on beaches, it was rolled around on jumping on-off helicopters in snow conditions, and held on during a morning hike in rain to see a glacier.

Note: A future bucket item addition: Winter time at Alaskan Arctic circle to see the Northern Lights or Polar Bears at -30 below F. Good times. Any excuse to buy a Carhartt black bunny suit, and a sat phone! Sshh!

There is no love for Pentax none of the local camera shops sell anything for it and look at you like you mentioned something that offended them. Thankfully for ebay, and used photo shops on the Internet.
