Chris - No Tech - Just Heart

 

I must say first - i am a grandmother - old enough to know better than to get addicted !! (but i did of course)

I LOVE subtle but HAVE to do COLOUR - i cant resist crop, saturation and light - my new year resolution is "try not to be Over the Top" (Update) Well that's gone right out the window !!!

 

CONTACTS: I feel i must apologise to everyone who has added me as a contact and i have not added them in return. When i first joined flickr i added EVERYONE as i thought it was the thing to do - doh - i find it very difficult to keep up with everyone but i do try my best !

So - If you have 3 million contacts and NO or very few faves and have been on Flickr since FOREVER and never comment on my pics EVER then i will not add you as a contact and i will weed you out if you are only interested in yourself

 

i quite often type with one hand so i am upper case lazy and sometimes i have to sit awkwardly so dont type anything at all - so i apologise for not always commenting in words !

  

one of my sons (i have 5 children) bought me a new camera 3 years ago - a digital Sony Cyber-Shot 7.2 mega pixels. I became addicted to taking pics of anything and everything and felt lost without my camera ! . I havent got photoshop - i use picasa (free)

 

It's been over a year now that I have been Flickr'ing with a vengeance and am thrilled to be able to count some amazing photographers as my contacts. I am astounded by some of the comments and awards that I have received and am grateful for the encouragement..

1st March 2009 update --- woooohhoooo - i am now the owner of a Nikon D60 as a result of a major wedding anniversary present .... not telling !! The lens is 18-105 and i am now able to zoom about all over the place !

 

May 2009 update : I find that the above lens is not suitable for all my needs - namely "macro" so i am saving up for that type of lens but havent a clue what it should be !! Also since I no longer use the sony very much - I havent been Explored !! Oh well - thats not important (yeah right !)

(UPDATE - 17 sept 10) Yesss - I have been explored a few times with my Nikon - am i bov vered ;-)))

 

September 2011 Update:

I have been off Flickr for about 6 months (needed a rest) but I missed everyone so i came back !!

For a while I couldnt even take a shot - i just couldnt "see" anything worth photographing :'(

I am gradually getting my mojo back, and i am determined to perservere.

WARNING - Flickr is addictive - unless used carefully it could damage your health :-)))

But you just gotta love it !

 

Oh YES - Getty have some of my images !!!

 

(I am updating my profile - this is my only claim to fame with regard to photography so i am leaving it in :-))

 

 

OMG - SCHMAP said my picture of Caldicot Castle Park was shortlisted for the Cardiff area - and now they have said that my shot is being used !!

I dont get paid or anything mundane like that but it is a great boost !
