I have decided to offer a premium tier for those that want to see more of my photo work. I've always resisted wanting to offer a paid subscription element to my work for fear of reducing the art, however, I get a lot of requests for more! more! more! It becomes a lot of time editing, posting, etc and I would like to feel as though there is some reward for that work. I belong to the Flickr Alpha Group which gets to see a lot of Beta rollouts, ideas, etc prior to full release. The topic of monetization came up and Flickr doesn't want to offer any form of compensation to creators who draw larger followings and up their ad presence. I average about 55,000 views a day (which is very small compared to some) and get nothing out of that. However, we pay to be on the site, yet visitors looking for content do not.

It is not my intention to remove work or reduce what I share, but simply to add more. As you've seen, I've been going through the years of backlog and adding more deeper cuts. It is my intention to make my Family tier just that, even more content. I used to only post my top couple of favorites per shoot. Perhaps I didn't think it was a good enough shot, didn't love my lighting, missed the crop, didn't love how it edited, etc. I'm now able to go back and revisit those and look at them differently and realize every shot doesn't have to be technically perfect all the time to have merit. In this Family tier, you'll get more of the deeper cuts that had hit the editing room floor previously, shots that weren't released, some sets that weren't posted at all, BTS, outtakes, etc. If you like my work, you'll really love this additional offering. The last few sets have already included photos set to family so that there would already content available prior to offering.
