Life is a creative act. I embrace this reality through the lens of my camera. My focus at the moment is in interpreting the kind of natural beauty that hits you like brass knuckles in the gut and with wordless authority says, "sit down and learn something, son." In this field of work I strive to create images that elicit that kind of feeling while resisting the documentary function of photography, which, by it's nature, is dispassionate. I also work in narrative portraiture, attempting to tell stories about humanity through a juxtaposition of a person's emotional visage and symbolism in the environment; dabble in the emotional intensity of marriage ceremonies; capture the essence of music as it is produced by those it entrances; and maintain vigilance that I can and will produce any kind of images that compels me to bring it into existence.
