Here, Christina's world has this: a great soul, combined with an awesome sensitivity. This turns her photos into little masterpieces, to look at and watch again! I have known Christina and her art for a while, and I feel almost like knowing her in-person. One of the most defining features of her work is that every picture - every pixel, one could say - is endowed with a bit of her soul. She is an artist in the classical way, a photographer whose creativity has been thoroughly unchained by the power of post-processing in the digital world. Christina has a gift for creating very effective yet (usually deceivingly) simple compositions, where the subject (say a bird perched on a fence) does not gain attention thanks to its "physical" preeminence in the frame, but by means of the most ingenious composition. And the background, though not stealing the limelights from the subject, is an artwork in its own way - and here is where Christina's peculiar art of processing comes to life, creating a rich tapestry of colors that I can only describe as a poem without words. Incidentally, her backgrounds have such an esthetic appeal - such a soothing power - that I often envisage them as having a commercial potential as wallpapers, fabric for dresses, drapes, ties, etc. Her land- and seascapes have a dreamy feeling and are always endowed with her unique vision, and I love her "signature" - a bird flying high in the sky - which adds a personal dimension of meaning to the scenes. Christina is a friend, and her photos convey the warmth and passion of the woman behind the pixels (or I should rather say "inside the pixels"). I am very grateful to Christina for sharing her vision so liberally: the name of her account is perfectly fitting, in that her photostream is, quite literally, "Christina's world".
