I am a hobby photographer and have been for several years. My father taught me how to not just "point & shoot" on his Canon F1 with slide film. Now I use a Canon AE1 for film and Canon EOS 40D for digital. I am still torn between the beauty and technique of film versus the ease and flexibility of digital. :)

I am my own worst critic and tend to think almost every shot I take is crap. Being a stickler for natural looks, I try not to do much treatment. Honest feedback is welcome, but be gentle...I never claim to be a pro :)
