I’ve studied all sorts of things during my life, some formally like Fine Arts, Computer Technologies, Power Engineering, and Education, other things informally, and out of personal interest, like Paleontology, Natural History, and Human History. My interests and experiences inform my photography and writing almost as much as the natural world, which is always where I get the bulk of my inspiration.

I enjoyed an itinerant youth, living all over Western Canada from southern Alberta, to the coast of British Columbia and Northern Ontario before settling for almost fifty years in Canada’s Yukon Territory. I am an avid outdoorsman, who spent almost half a century camping, hiking, and exploring the trails, highways, and byways of Canada’s Yukon. In 2023, I left my beloved north for Prince Edward Island in the Canadian Maritimes, where I now reside.

I believe that beauty exists everywhere in God’s creation. We don’t need to travel to the four corners of the globe to find it, and we don’t need AI to interpret it for us. Part of the joy of photography, or any other creative endeavour, can be found in the word, “creative.” Learning to see, and developing the skills to interpret the world around us is a huge part of the equation.

My photography focuses on nature, but I also love photographing people, streets, small things, and big things. I enjoy daytime imagery, twilight, and low light photography. I am also an author, and a poet. You can find a copy of my first book, A Parade of Dreams: Poetry Illustrated with Photographs through your local bookstore, or online from retailers like Amazon and Chapters. I thank God for the blessings I have received in life and I hope that my photography celebrates His creation.

Thank you for visiting my profile, and my Photostream. I hope you enjoy the trip.

Take a look at Christopher's shots—a really close look. You just may hear a sled dog's bark or a loon's call. Or you might stretch out a bit to catch some of that just-out-of reach, low-angled sun. Can you hear the snow crunch? Well, his pictures bring the Yukon right into your living room—no matter where you are. … Read more
