Ape decendant mostly, this becomes more obvious the older I get!

In need of a trip to the tropics. Strange, but I get withdrawal from rain forest after a while. I feel happier walking in tropical woods than almost anything I can think of.

For the technical types I use:

Canon 1d Mark 3

Canon 5d Mark 2

100mm Canon 2.8 Macro

MPE-65 Canon Macro

24-105mm Canon

100-400mm f5.6 Canon

MT-24EX Canon Flash

Manfrotto Tripod

I am currently suffering also from a need to sell both my camera's and buy just one. I think it will be a Canon 1DX, but am still a little scared of the price and don't want to lose the 1.3 multiplyer of the 1D Mark 3, but somehow I don't think I will mind.

I live on a croft on the West Coast of Scotland. We have two self catering houses and lots of poultry! Life in the highlands is great, but it has rather reduced my photography as it is so busy on the croft.

Website if you are interested is www.bluebellcroft.co.uk

I used to live on a small island 9 miles long and 5 miles wide off the French coast, although the island (Jersey) is British.

Other places I have lived include Singapore, North Wales, Salisbury Beaconsfield and Bedford in the UK.

There is something very keen...very special about this Man's vision. This *something* goes far beyond the technical. I very thoroughly appreciate everything he shares with us.

At last I found the time to browse your portfolio and what an inspiration they are! Problem is I have decided I need to spend money on getting a better macro lens, and a trip abroad would'nt go amiss either. LOL Your photos' are stunning, keep them coming. :-)

Chris is my husband and best friend. He is also the reason I have become addicted to photography, as his enthusiasm is infectious. I still have so much to learn, but thanks to Chris's unending patience and teaching skills I have learnt a lot, fast!
