Thanks for checking out my work. I am a Canadian-American freelance photojournalist & travel photographer (she/her). I've been a contributor to Outword Magazine for over 25 years and am based in Auburn, California.

I am currently uploading photos at under 5MB. Please contact me if interested in any prints - the original files are considerably larger and all shot in RAW/DNG.

I cover news, events, features, sports and travel for Outword, and occasionally freelance for other publications.

Additionally, I have almost 8,000 images for license on Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, iStock and Alamy, and in the past my fine art images have appeared and won awards in regional and statewide art shows.

My work is often based around celebrations and festivals, or political events and protests. I often focus on underrepresented populations, with many images from the LGBTQ+, Latinx, and Native American communities.

I travel for three to four months of the year and have been to 42 countries. As my Spanish continues to improve, I have expanded my work to areas with high Latinx populations, such as Woodland and East L.A., as well as to Latin America locations, reporting on Lima's Marcha del Orgullo, Guadalajara's Gay Games as well as travel pieces on Peru and different locations in Mexico. I also explore classic European locales as time and budget allow.
