I find taking photos incredibly stimulating and therapeutic and I love the fact that I can now afford to shoot with cameras which, when they first went on sale, cost several times the average weekly wage.
My favourite photographers at the moment are Tony Ray Jones, Don McCullin, Martin Parr, Jimmy Forsyth, Matilda Temperley; there are so many wonderful photographers I've never heard of: for example, I've only just come across the work of Chris Killip. Last year, I had the great pleasure of meeting a photographer I greatly admire: Denis Thorpe.
It's said, "Your first ten thousand photos are your worst," which means I've a few thousand to go yet. In my very best photos- of people, places or landscapes- I have come close to what I'm trying to capture. Thanks for looking at my photos.
