I had the pleasure of meeting Brian at the annual OUSA Convention in NY; he hasn't been creating for very long; but I think he said after a lecture by Professor Robert Lang, things just clicked for him, and he's been creating some of the most impressive displays of complex-fold origami that ranks among the best in the world. Seriously, he's on par with the likes of Lang and Kamiya.
