Have you ever sat at the table of a starred chef for dinner? At Carl’s you are always greeted like an old friend. As you are checking in at the reception desk you can already hear the humming voices, the tinkling of glasses and cutlery, smells and flavours along with a familiar comfortable feeling that slowly starts to submerge your senses, you start feeling weightless and you barely hear a seductive voice asking you to follow her while she leads you to your favourite table. You slide through space crossing familiar faces that smiles back at you, salute with a nod. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, the dimmed lights reflect, sparkle and shine all around you, a harmony of colours, textures, patterns complete that sense lightness as you are comfortably being seated. The menu is continental with just enough exotic perfumes, colours and flavours to fill up your senses... Time is like suspended... You don’t know how, but there in the heat of the night, you are in a taxi, taking you back home, you are floating on air and that sensation slowly dims off as times goes by till you meet again. Thank you Carl :-)

It is no surprise whatsoever that so many others have left words of appreciation for Carl's photography. My only regret is that I should have done so sooner, but as they say "better later than never". Whenever I see Carl's images on my contacts' page, I know immediately that it is his work even without checking it. He has such a unique and distinctive style. Something I only hope to accomplish one day. Carl is not just a photographer who captures the moment. He is an artist in the true sense of the word. He creates rather than just captures an image, and whilst doing so there is so much of his world and emotions that is in there. So, please keep shooting and sharing all those beautiful, inspiring moments with us.
